So I have an iPod [I think the one before the Chromatic] and a Touch. My old iTunes wasn’t compatible I guess with the Touch so I downloaded the newest version. When it was done downloading, I clicked on the iTunes icon and it said ‘iTunes has stopped working’. ‘A problem cause the program to stop working correctly.’ Then, ‘To help protect your computer, Data Execution Prevention has closed iTunes.’

I looked up DEP and it says : Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.

DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.

I have redownloaded iTunes multiple times and it won’t work.
Help me?

i think you have vista. So did you download itunes manually? if you did try this.
go to start in vista and type “apple”
then click “apple software upgrade” and install itunes.
If the latest is already installed and that doesnt work first delete itunes before doing this.
