What do you have in mind? What are you looking at/for? What type of stance do you get in? Anything else? Also do you do this with everyone or just those who appear to be a threat. I work security and we don’t get trained in this type of stuff. I know the basics but any advice from the pro’s would be good stuff.

It really isn’t a good idea to talk specific tactics on an open internet forum.

Maintain enough distance between you and the suspect to give you time to react in the event of a threat.

Ditto. It’s a good question but one that most officers won’t answer on the Internet. Email me with any specific questions.

This should be covered very well in your defensive tactics classes if you go through any of it. If not, locate a local college that has a criminal justice program and see if you can take a class. Or even ask if you can come in and talk to one of the trainers. They should be able to show you cues you want to watch for, stances for both you and what to watch for, etc.
