This song has so many meanings and we should fight for it – freedom. The Democratic country of Fiji is one of the many countries that is fighting for democracy. The country recently is run by dictatorship with bans on Internet access, news, free media, communication, voices, protest and such is not welcomed in Fiji. In 2006 the Democratic elected govt was removed by the Fiji Military Forces. Decrees and Laws have been changed to dictatorship to suit those of higher ranks and is very suppressive and tough for everyday citizens of Fiji. Freedom will always Prevail in the End

@99159855 history buddy just pure history with Britain not now. In fact today is a holiday in Fiji. It marks Queen Elizabeths Birthday. Every June,Fiji,New Zealand,Australia,Solomon Islands all celebrate Queen Elizabeths Birthday. We love our Queen.May she lived longer and happier evry time
The flag will never change bcoz it was designed by the british, I guess u are also one of them, I asked you the connection of the union jack, “Fiji’s flag flew for the first time on Independence Day, October 10, 1970. The design for the national flag was selected as the result of a competition won jointly by Mr. Robi Wilcock and Mrs. Murray MacKenzie” both of them were british as usual, that is why it wont change. the british have fucked Fiji the same way as they fucked other countries in Africa
@99159855 We cannot change our flag. It is part of our History. Our monetary unit and money all have Queen Elizabeth the 2nd engraved on it. Every school,& Govt Buldings have the Queens picture in it. Theres even Queen Victoria’s statue in Fiji. We only have historical ties to the UK, not now. ABout changing our flag, i dont think so!! We love it just the way it is

@99159855 FYI, Fiji have no ties with Great Britain or whatsoever other then colonizing of our nation. We do not have a Governor General and we r not part of the Commonwealth of Nation. In fact in Fiji all land is owned by iether by the natives or govt. 90% of the land is owned by the natives while the rest is govt owned. We were suspended from the Commonwealth of Nations because of late elections moved to 2014. Our system of land ownership is the best by far compared to Australia.
No I disagree with you totally, Europeans did not share their culture & way of life, in fact they had forced their so called European way of life and telling the other nations that their way of of life was inferior. The UK colonised most African states including SA, go to Zimbabwe & see what the pink man has done especially on land including SA, where 1 pink person owns 100h & 10 africans owns less than 500spm per family, its not they way it should be, ask ur self why UK is a rich nation.
@99159855 no man found any land..in every country theres people already in it. Europeans on the other hand,explore & sharing their way of life,culture and language. I am sorry if you dont like our flag and the many more Pacific Flag with the Union Jack, its just the way it is.
do want to tell me that there were no poeple staying there before that guy founded it, it is likely that the were poeple there who showed him around, same as Victoria Falls, Livingston may be the one who wrote about them but it is untrue that he founded them as there were poeple staying there long before he arrived there, same as that bloody Pacific Island, that is why there is fucking union jack there, the old South African flag used to have the stupid Union Jack in it.
@99159855 excuse me. Its a Fiji flag. Fiji is an island nation in the South Pacific founded by Captain James Cook a British sailor and navigator.
