i am doing a bs in computer science major. i didnt like the programming field in it. for that, iam thinking for going to Computer Network specialist . After i will finish my bs in computer science what can i do to be an expert in Computer Network specialist since i will be taken only 1 course for networks . so is there any program that i can join for some months to have some exprience with Computer Network specialist?

I have a small network of 4-5 computers. I am planning to share internet connection using proxy servers. I dont want the other users to be able to change lan settings in internet explorer. How can i do that ?

I have a small band sorta thing and wanna record some song’s covers we have done yet… we have one accoustic guitar, one electric guitar, one keyboard(which has digital input) and a vocal.

A federal task force report being released today reveals that police want a national web interface linking police computers with those of Internet and e-mail providers so cops can instantly access the emails and records of suspects. They want to be able to “exchange legal process requests and responses to legal process” through an encrypted, police-only “nationwide computer network. Seems like there’s lots of potential for abuse – don’t forget we just learned that the FBI got thousands of phone records from ordinary Americans by citing nonexistent emergencies.

Hi! My home computer, which is a HP vs17 Microsoft Windows XP model, will not start up. I would turn it on, and then it would restart over and over again if I just leave and come back. I tried safe mode, last known configuration, and start windows normally when I get to the screen with white font and a black background, but it still restarts to that page after the Windows Xp Logo. I can’t even reach my desktop!

I tried some things, like going to the Recovery Console, but it doesn’t work and goes to the “Blue Screen of Death”. It doesn’t even restart when it gets there, I have to hold on the Power Button and shut it down that way and press the button again. I have no clue what to do, and please try to explain it in steps!!! I’m not very tech-savvy. :]

I do not want to lose the files on my computer, and it is about 3-4 years old. It’s still fairly new, and I cannot risk losing all my memories [pics] and documents on that computer… please help!!! Thanks so very much for helping!
