I’m a computer newbie and i’ve triead installing the sims 2 on my pc several times. My brother installed it in my toshiba notebook for me. He did everything. He cracked the folder and he told me it would never work because it had to be Windows XP. UM, how can i install it properly? I’m aware of the money i’ve spent for the disk. And i’ve got 85 gig free space on my hard drive. What’s wrong? Oh, and this Toshiba notebook’s better than my HP one.

I have a Vista and XP computer on a network sharing an internet connection. I can open files the files i share on my XP computer on my Vista computer. Isn’t there anyway i can do the opposite?

And is it possible i can play a game with the computer on the network or send a message or anything like that?

READ!!@!@!@!!!!! Click on video linked to this one, it has the explanation… In the video I improve my speed 60 times faster!!! This is not normal… normally it goes up around 18 times the original speed. Reason for crappy quality?: I could have used camstudio to record with much better quality but the problem is people would think the video is fake. Reason for black part when i’m plugging in USB cable is because I’m a noob and i should have kept the camera positioned where you can see my hand. Please trust me=) Hypothesis… Wireless Receiver overheating – Ruled out because it was less than 30 seconds before the receiver was replugged in. Bad Router – Ruled out because my laptop can receive a constant signal of around 8000 kbps Song Lostprophets – Rooftops I FIXED IT!!! How? I borrowed a previous gen NETGEAR USB wireless network adapter from a friend. It worked at 80% the expected speed… but it did show me that it was the linksys wireless usb network adapter. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THAT PRODUCT! Instead… if you are buying a network adapter for a desktop, buy a desktop network adapter… I currently have a linksys network adapter that plugs into the pci slot in your tower. IF YOU HAVE VISTA… PLEASE BUY A NETGEAR OR WAIT UNTIL MY NEXT VIDEO… IN WHICH I WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO INSTALL THE PCI DESKTOP CARD PROPERLY. I’m currently trying to get an XP computer to share a printer over a network that has computers running mainly Vista and Windows 7. When I try to share the printer (or anything for that matter) over the network, none of the other computers can connect to the XP computer. They can see the XP computer, but it will come up with an error and will not allow me to connect it.

I Can’t seem to get my newer Vista computer to network with others in home network. I have tryed everything many times and this one still will not work with the others. Any advise?

im trying to connect my windows xp to my windows vista. i tried several ones but they dont work for me. i already had both computer connect using cable and hub so both of my computers can go on to internet, please do not tell me to buy this and that OTHER than cables, specific and simple procedures please. thank you.

Hi All, I recently lost all my data due to my system crash. I used “get data back for NTFS” and recovered my data but i was sad when i found out almost all of my recovered files were currepted. I am using windows vista (it sucks). Please suggest me a recovery software that works best and recover my files in its original form. Thank you
