my laptop was fine and never had any virus, just recently i noticed Anti virus soft pop up on my laptop and its causing pop ups, lag, really slow loading, constantl security warnings stopping me from typing until i clikc yes or no etc..

i tried using spyhunter which stated i had 42 threats on my laptop from a trojan horse, a keylogger, a password stealer and spyware etc, however i couldnt fix the problems because it was still scanning after 8 hours and was on 48%

is there any programme i can use to remove this virus and not have to sit through hours of scanning?

i need to use this laptop for college work, so this is something i need to fix pretty fast, thank you

Where can i get a free data recovery software for my laptop?
My computer went crazy last week and deleted all my stuff that’s been there within three years that i had my laptop.
I would really like it back and i download one software and found my stuff but it said i needed to buy the full software to safe it all =/
So can anyone help me out?

I have just started my own company, and there are about 10 people including myself working in a trading company.
normally, i would like to set up a few computer for us to:
1. emailing
2. daily word and data processing
3. an intranet
4. building up our own website
P.S. we do not have any expert in computer and it is too expensive to hire someone helping me to set up.

I think I decided on AVG but, there is the issue of anti-virus and internet security. Which one I should get? I mean, if i am protected with internet security from threats that come from the web, does that mean that viruses that i may get from elsewhere (not net related) would slip pass detection and infect the computer? And vice versa? Really confused
A couple people mentioned going OUT to buy a commercial brand. I plan to BUY the commercial version of AVG not to just settle for AVG free

ive been wanting to get a new processor for my computer. its a dell inspiron 530 with currently a very outdated intel pentium dual cpu e2140 @ 1.60ghz @ 1.60ghz. i really want to upgrade to soemthing near 2.5ghz or higher if possible but dell is telling me that if i want to do so it will have to be compatible with my motherboard. my problem is they want to charge me $250 to find out which are compatible. please hlep me in trying to find one i can install i know how to intall it i just need to find the right card.
what i forgot to add is that my graphics card i curently have is an ati 2600 pro HD which runs like a dream. i just think it would help to get a little more cpu speed until i can get a job to pay for a custom gaming comp

Is it true that I’ll need to purchase a full version of Access 2007 for each system? That’s a lot of money. Is there any legal way to get around this???

(Maybe opening files on other computers with Excel or something? )

I am currently studying Computer Network Management + Design at University and I am stuck for ideas of what to base my project on. The problem is that I do no know any programming! Apparently, I need to identify a problem, report on how to address it, address it and test it (it has to be real life not made up). Please help!

i go to a technical high school and in IST we have independent projects, to later get certified for that field we want to study. I want to study Data Recovery, but i dont know i much about studying it. Is there a special certification for that? where can i get more info about it, would i need to study, A+ and computer programing? is there more?
