i have a main laptop running ubuntu and fluxbox and another laptop runing fluxbuntu…the fluxbuntu laptop is a very old compaq and i dont have internet access with it…i plan on using it for simple programing but would like to add a few other programs…how can i do this without internet access…is there a way to transfer programs with u usb stick? or some other method?

I’m thinking about buying a laptop GPS system with the receiver. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be using it on the road and I’m not so sure about whether I need Internet access to be able to use it or not. Help?

I don’t know if anyone can tell me anything that I can do about this. I cannot figure out how to make a “bug report” with Spy Bot. This is my first real buggy thing that won’t let me use my compute

can it be tracked what my profile has done on each computer on the internet?
You have to log in to access computer.

Can they read my emails and different sites i’ve been on if they don’t know what computers Ive been on?
Or is that info saved to that computer?

I have a computer that connects to the internet with wireless connection which I get from my USB, but somehow it lost the hardware and when I try to reinstall the hardware it requested drivers to be installed which my computer can’t seem to find is the USB broken or anything? If not how do I install it without internet access?
Would this mean it broken then or not?

I recently had a spyware attack on my laptop, but got it all repaired and now I can’t access the internet. My wireless connection is ‘Excellent’, but when I go to open a browser, it says that IE can’t connect to the web page. I have repaired the network connection and re-entered the IP address as well. Anyone have any ideas?

I’m now currently shared the router with my housemates, and i only pay to access to internet.

Recently i believed that my internet access have been block by my housemate and i want to unblock it. I’ve tried various way: restart pc and router, do connection repairs and etc.

therefore, i need some1 to teach me how to unblock the internet access.
note: i did pay for my internet access…

How can i get into the router config?

Most of the time when I’m talking on my iPhone I don’t have Internet access and I can see that I don’t because I use my earphones when talking and can still use my screen. I just want to know how to still get edge or 3g while I’m talking on the phone.

In March, four UCC students (Derek Chan, Amal Chandaria, Connor Cimowsky and Adam Gordon) and their teacher, Mark Battley, traveled to the Ntugi Day Secondary School in Kenya to test an innovative way of bringing laptops and the Internet to a school with no power and no previous experience with computers. The boys’ groundbreaking idea was to use a combination of durable OLPC laptops, local cell-phone SIM cards, portable wireless routers, and solar panels in order to bring the Internet to Ntugi.
