OK, since I am a complete newbie when it comes to computers and that whole deal, I will just ask my question and write down everything I can about my computer to help you out.

I want 2 play this “Combat Arms” game but I lag a lot. It either has to do with my graphics card or RAM, but leaning more towards the card. What would be the best graphics card to acquire that’s affordable and lets me play this game?

Recommended:

GeForce FX 5600 graphics card or better
Pentium 4 – 2.4GHz+

What I have:

Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family display adapter (same as video card?)
Processor- Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2310@1.46Ghz (I guess I have 2 of them)

Oh yea, and the computer is a year old Compaq and that’s it. I can’t understand how it could be “out-of-date” so quickly. I hate money…

i got an 32gb ipod touch and i love comics. what are the best apps to get? i also have some comics saved on my computer from www.goldenagecomicsco.uk, and i wanted also ask about any other sites that give out free ebooks and comics?

Help. My church just suggested that I work on doing this for our musical portion of church info to be sent out and I know nothing about doing this sort of thing on the computer. Is there someone out there who can help me with very simple ways of doing this and it needs to be someone with lots of patience because I will probably have thousands of questions being a newbie to this modern age. Ok, so I have yet another question pertaining to computer programming *I’m on a roll!*

I am an absolute beginner at computer programming, and I want to get started THIS SECOND! Lets just say I have an experience level of 0, although that is not true, I want to start at the very beginning. The only experience I have had with programming and writing any type of code is HTML, actionscript, and a little (I mean extremely little) bit of experience with asp.net, c#, and c++ (all from just messing around).

I would really like to begin learning right away, but I don’t have a clue where to start! Not to brag, but I do know a lot about computers…I am a geek…lol. I learned HTML from W3Schools, online tutorials, and by experimental methods, and I learned actionscript strictly from online tutorials, then most of it just came to me. I just cannot seem to find that edge to begin learning how to program in other languages or even which language to begin with!

I downloaded Microsoft’s Visual Studio Express 2008 Edition, which includes Visual C#, Visual Basic, Visual C++, and Visual Web Developer. I don’t know if I made a good move in downloading this software studio, but the programs are very nice, although I don’t know much about actually creating stuff in them!

I read about object oriented programming…what is that?? I also asked a question on here yesterday about the best language to begin to learn. Most said C++ but I thought BASIC was the most “basic” language and the easiest to learn?

I am basically a newbie eager to learn but I need some guidance to get going! Can you recommend a few good *active* online forums, tutorial websites, ebooks, and books for the beginner programmer?

I bought a Sansa Express MP3 player and am having some problems. I must use my computer at work because I don’t have Windows XP at home. However, for some reason I can’t update XP–it keeps saying we have a “volume” key that’s been blocked. I have no idea why. We had these computers put in over 5 years ago by a reputable company. So I don’t have Windows SP2. Will I be able to download songs into this thing or not? I tried to with Rhapsody and got nowhere fast. I’m not a computer newbie but I am an MP3 player newbie. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

i am in a grade 12 computer business class… and my project is on viruses, i know of trojan viruses, but are there any more, and if yes, how do they work? i am a newbie when it comes to computers, but be as technical as you want… please help me!!!!

i asked the same question before, but no one is answering, and i need this info for tommorow or i’m screwed…Please help me…
or just give me the names of viruses and i will look them up on wikipedia…

oh, my teacher does not want common viruses… like worms or trojans, so anething else would be greatly appreciated… THANKS A BUNCH!!!!!
i did google viruses but there are so many… which are the ones that you ppl are most familiar with.
