I understand that there are some Americans who feel that we as a nation would be better off without handguns (and most other types of guns in general). Personally, I don’t agree with that idea, but I respect it since other people also have first amendment rights as well.

The question that I have for those of you who want to ban guns is why you don’t actively oppose the 2nd amendment. Personally, I think that would make much more sense than passing a law of questionable constitutionality, making people upset about having the constitution ignored, and having the law repealed down the road by a court. Instead of simply passing laws, would it not make more sense to explain to your fellow citizens why you think the 2nd amendment is an archaic remnant from revolutionary times? Wouldn’t it make more sense to explain to people why you think the 2nd amendment is a burden and a threat to American security?

Like I said, I would not support something like that since I’m a gun owner and I support the 2nd amendment. But I honestly feel that people should be more honest and open about their true feelings because it would result in a much more productive and fruitful debate. I’m eager to hear what other people have to say, especially supporters of gun control, so answer away.
AE Moreira, if the liberals never wanted to completely ban handguns, then why did DC forbid its residents from owning handguns for so long?

So i purchased Easeus data recovery wizard to get back my entire partition that i accidentally deleted thinking it was my other external drive. It took 14 hours to get all my files back just to find out that they dont work anyway. All i have is music and movies. Any ideas on how to get them to work? Please provide email address for further assistance if you feel comfortable doing so.

I know the basic computer stuff, like how to turn it on and surf the web, microsoft office and other stuff like that. What I want to learn is about the inner workings of a computer. A while ago, I discovered (not exaggerating) 60,400 mp3 files that somehow found their way onto my computer, and they were completely hidden from view, in the Documents and Settings>Owner file. I could not see them, even by going into the folder while hidden files were “viewable.” I did NOT download them, and neither did anyone using my computer. The only way I could see them was when my adaware found them. The folder was 2.0 gigs! And it said there were 0 files it it, none hidden. When I tried to delete it, Windows said no, that it was used by another program. I finally entered safe mode, and deleted it that way.

This issue could be related, but might not be. My home page is YouTube.com. Now, when I go there, it shows the “this page cannot be displayed” message. This happens when I try to go to MANY websites, but some websites still work, like yahoo mail, and many other sites.

It’s really bugging me because all the search engines are not loading. And I love my YouTube, but none of it works. It acts as if it’s an incorrect wesite. As if I typed in fkahskadasdf.com and it says it can’t be displayed.

No, it’s not my security level. I turned it down to “Accept all cookies,” and still, nothing works. I called my ISP, Time Warner and he ran Troubleshooting with me, and said it’s probably a virus.

I don’t want links to any antivirus sites, I already have plenty. I have AdAware, AVI Free Edition and I’ve run Trend Secure’s housecall scan. I just want to know if anyone has heard of this kind of frustrating crap, and if they can give me step by step instructions to either get rid of this thing MANUALLY, or a program they KNOW will catch it.

Don’t be afraid to get technical on me, I know my way around a computer. I’d say I’m an intermediate user. (Plus my job, in a call center as a CSR, is technical support).

My computer is running slow and bogged down. Its about six years old and I was debating just wiping the hard drive and starting over but, uggh, so much time and lost pics/music. A friend suggested using a registry cleaner to make my pc run faster. Anyone know of a really good one, and if possible, free?
