I want to learn almost everything about computers, that is how to build them, how to create programs, how to create operating systems, but I know very little in this fields. How can I learn all this in a manner of introductory?

Someone just moved into our house and we want to block our internet access from this person, this person is underage and we do not want them to use the internet through their laptop. I have set up WEP security, but this person accesses the internet and does not get prompted for the password. It’s weird because when I reset our router, I get prompted for the password, all the other computers in the house don’t. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I recently got a job at Best Buy, in the Computers department. I didn’t even apply for this position, because I know literally nothing important about computers. I told them this at my interview but they assured me that everything would be fine and that it was actually a good thing that I didn’t know anything… Well the thing is they only schedule me about 2-3 days a week for about 5-6 hours, then I will get like 4-5 days off in a row, so any information that I was exposed to is now forgotten. Yesterday I was the only person in the computer department and I literally had 6 customers all come at me at once asking me what “that means, what does this do, whats the difference between such and such” I felt like a complete idiot, I tried to find someone and I kept paging people to the computer department, but they all just bailed on me. I dont even have a blue shirt yet and they just threw me out on the sales floor expecting me to know everything. I didn’t even know what DDR3 meant “I seriously thought they meant dance dance revolution” I have asked them to teach me but they just give a run threw and don’t go into much detail. last night at work a co worker said I was f*cking stupid, I almost started to cry because I am really trying, I even made flash cards, I feel so inadequate I also feel dumb because I’m like the oldest “new hire” I’m 24… Guys I know this is long and I got kinda off topic, but can you please help to be better? thanks!

let me start off by saying i’m NOT a novice with computers. i do programming in vb.net and c#. i been custom build my gaming computers and all that good stuff. but what i wanna learn deeper about is the hardware. how do you write software to a circuit board, for example how a graphics chip works and how those little batteries on the motherboard and how it all works together, how does routers do what it do (now what it does but how). kinda confusing lol but i think you get my drift. ebooks, videos, anything teaching about this.

I want to learn absolutely everything i can about the hardware components of a computer, compatibility, operating systems, the different languages of a computer, coding, etc. I want to be an expert in everything computers! where can i start my knowledge and where can i move from there? I am looking for some websites that can just inform me how to learn myself or something i am not asking about a school that can teach me as i will be going into the computer field when i am of age. I just want to be able to know as much as i can and have a good base to be prepared. Thank you for your time and all of your help i truly do appreciate it! Your the best! I am trying to get remote desktop connection going, for the computers in the same network.
The problem is, my computer (Windows 7) does not seem to register the other computers on the network.

Can anybody point me in the direction that might solve this issue?
