I want to learn basically everything possible about computers. Where should I start?

I just want to learn everything I can about my computer, P.S. I don’t want to learn the history of computers just ya know the ins and outs. Is there a site that can do that, but I want it organized in like sections not for example one sentance about hard drives and the next on bytes.

I’m interested in a career involving computer technician but I’m still learning but what are some good books heck even some good websites or YouTube links I can check out ?

Everywhere i look, i’m supposed to know all about HTML, Scripting Languages, API, and a million other things related to computer programming , web pages, networking, IT, and the all-important DataBase management. I don’t know ANYTHING about ANY of this stuff.

Can I learn all this stuff on my own with just a few books, WITHOUT going to college? If so, which books should i buy? Do i need software? Do i need to learn how to write programs in BASIC or C or what?

What is the best way to self educate myself on general computer knowledge? I want to be one of those people that know how to take apart a laptop and put it back together in no time. I want to know what all the parts do, what purpose they serve, whatever the heck a bios is, what video card to look for for whatever purpose and everything else. Where should i start?

Not like “this is a mouse”, but things that will help me be a computer engineer.
Im not sure if Best Buy is good for that, but being around computers may help.
Also take not that this is a first job, something to do during high school. Nothing I will be doing my whole life, just a way to make money, and learn.

Hey. So, I’m 33, and I am pretty much a novice when it comes to computes. Obviously, I know the basics, like the internet and plugging things in, but I’d like to start a career in IT and/or computer maintenance. I’m interested in fixing computers, networking, and basic programming. So, is it too late to start? If not, WHERE should I start? Any books? Online resources? Thank you.

Learn about things like proxy servers, wireless networks, how operating systems work behind the scenes. I’d like to learn about them to the level of knowing what each adjustable setting is for in these aforementioned things.

If there was a better way to learn these things (without taking a course,) I’d be curious about that as well.

im 13 years old and i want learn some computer stuff (programing, HTML ect.)
i know nothing when it comes to programing ect.
im learning basic HTML at the moment, but i want to take it up to the next level.

my online teacher will only teach us HTML right now and she dosn’t plan on teaching anything els.
