I’m looking for free reliable sites that i could go to, to learn more about computers to help prepare me for the A+ certification exam, but the only site i know of is webopedia and I need more than just that alone.

I am looking to get my A+ certification but, there are so many different avenues. There are books, 5 day classes, online training, video training, ect.

I would like to know what would be a good route for a person like me who knows a little and needs to learn a little?

Looking to get A+ certified like yesterday. I am an intermediate computer user and I solve people’s computer problems (installation, virus combat, hard drive reformat, ect) occasionally.

Some good advice please.

I know a great deal of computers out of my own research and experience. I have books on A+ and have done computer repairs for family and friends. I have two jobs (non-IT related) and I barely have time to attend a school or training facility. I would like to know if I can register for the exam without ever having attended an institution.

I would like to take the CompTIA A+ examination. I have no formal training in repairing computers (hardware and software) but i have more than 8 years doing it. Is my experience enough? or should i still take the trainings like Unitek.com and learningtree.com are offering. i need some advice…thanks!

I have been looking for a while now and can’t seem to find any concrete answers. I looked at TechSkills and New Horizons but have since read many bad reports online. I also considered CBT Direct which offers complete online training but have also read many bad reviews concerning them. I’ve considered going to one of the community colleges in Columbus, OH where I live but I really don’t want to pay for a full Associates Degree in IT. I just want to get some good quality training in A+, Network+, Security+, maybe MCSA, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks!
