    As with all problems the first step in protection is prevention. Use common sense when surfing the web and do not download any strange programs.     The next step is to install a firewall. A standard firewall will block most common attacks by bad programs and keep your system clean. You can also install programs to fight back and go looking through your computer for anything that may make it through. Remember firewalls aren’t perfect.   

    Remember in addition to immunization it’s important to be able to hunt them down if they manage to slip in. In some cases though the parasite may not wish to go quietly. Many of these things have the ability to do immense damage if they see that they are about to be removed. In this even it’s required to erase the drive and reinstall the operating system.
