Go and buy the book “Let us c” it will cost you about 200 rupees approx.
    And start learning C….
It is a basic language and very easy to learn using this book…..
Once you learnt it you can go for any programing language.

Computer programming is the process of writing, testing, debugging/troubleshooting, and maintaining the source code of computer programs. This source code is written in a programming language. The code may be a modification of an existing source or something completely new. The purpose of programming is to create a program that exhibits a certain desired behaviour (customization). The process of writing source code often requires expertise in many different subjects, including knowledge of the application domain, specialized algorithms and formal logic.

What type of programs are you interested in writing? Decide that, search the web on the language used to write these programs. Look for free tutorials online before you buy books. Best of wishes!

If you go to a school, check to see if they offer a programming course there. If you’re just starting out, i would recomend java or C++, as you can find resource books at your local library in the reference section

Start with BASIC language… then learn C/C++ then java…
BASIC is very simple to learn…
learning BASIC wil let u learn VB very easily…
    But BASIC is outdated..

U can also start with C/C++… if u are comfortable with it…
First get ur self a good compiler..
tc.exe , is Turbo C/C++ compiler, very small one, hardly 3 mb and it comes with help materials…

    Then learn java..

Programming is not tat hard… its easy… as easy as telling directions to ur home…
All u have to do is to spare time for it…
There are plenty of tutorials available online.. search…
