I have simply lost access. Although the Wireless LAN indicator is on, and all other functions seem to be working, I have no internet access, and the icon has disappeared. HELP please (for a non- techie)

One Response to “How do I recover internet access on an Acer Aspire One?”

  • DaveEC says:

Most likely you have disabled the connection. Click Start, My Network Places then Show all connections. I would expect that the Wifi connection says ‘disabled’. Click it to enable it.
However, if you don’t see any wifi adapter on that page it means that the wifi adapter built into the computer somehow is not found by the computer when it boots up. That would mean a trip to the repair shop.
