Author: I downloaded some dashboard apps..but I don’t know how to get it into the dashboard. Can someone tell me how and explain it as if you’re talking to a computer newbie…I’m new to mac.

When you download any Dashboard “widgets”as Apple calls them, all you need to do in order to install them, is to download them to your Desktop directly, your Downloads folder or any designated folder you have set to download files like this to.
Once you download the widget or widgets onto your Mac, then a window will automatically open and ask if you want to Install the widget to the Dashboard. You accept and then the screen will jump to your Dashboard view showing that widget and asking you then, if you wish to “Keep” that widget.
When you do keep the widget, it will now be visible to you within your Dashboard
If the widget you downloaded does not appear on your Dashboard, all you need to do is click on the plus button in Dashboard and select the correct widget.
That is all it takes.
