Thank you !! Thank you !! Thank you !! My external drive was not working. I tried your approach, pulled it apart, and plugged in the regular hard drive within to my desktop. Lo and behold, that fixed it. I have all my data back. Photos from the past 5 years and best of all I did’nt pay anyone a dime. Feels good to fix it yourself. Thank you once again !!
