I am an adult and I would like to learn the basic.

I am in the beginning stages of learning about building/upgrading a computer. Please correct me if I am wrong here. The necessities of a computer are…
-a mother board
-cpu (which also attaches to the motherboard?)
-ram (which attaches to the mother board?)
-graphics card (which also attaches to the mother board?)
-sound card (not sure where it attaches…)
-fans, and a case.

anything else you can think of?

I know enough about RAM to get by I think… are there any properties of a motherboard which are important that I understand? I know a CPU attaches directly to it… I guess my main question is… can you run newbie through any numbers, specifications, and properties of a motherboard and/or cpu and/or graphics card if you are bored and what to lend a hand? Thanks.

A video walkthrough for “Nancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor Manor”. In this section, Nancy escapes from the underground maze, only to find a locked door with an odd symbol on it. She asks Nigel about the symbol to learn that it deals with alchemy. Using this information and her cell phone’s internet access, she is able to get through the door. Inside is a forge, with a book that details hints on how to get the forge working again. Nancy starts the quest to get the forge working again by finding the Helmet of Mars. In order to do this, she fills up the well by solving a triangle puzzle.

Im into freewebs right now and doing my own website. Im a newbie and dunno much bout computer as well. Everytime i clicked on the link that i made, i was always brought to the link and away from my page..I dont want my viewers to be taken away off my site. Can someone help me pls?

So i recently bought a new game called shogun 2 total war. It is quite fun, but no where as near as fun as it look in the trailers and videos on the internet. Mainly because the game can’t operate smoothly without all the graphics turned onto low.

Here is a list of things involving graphics and my computer.

So it says the graphics card is NVIDIA GEforce 8400 GS
I have absolutely no idea what that is. I don’t know whether its good or bad.

It says the video memory is 469Mg.
I do not know what to make of this neither.

and the direct x is then 10.
I have no idea what this means neither.

and the screen resolution is 1680×1050

Obviously i am a newbie at pc so i am asking for someone to help me out.

Basically, I can make a VERY SIMPLE website with Dreamweaver on my own but can’t write other codes without copying YouTube tutorials.

So how long would it take me to learn coding language such as C++ or JavaScript if I spent about 3 hours a week learning?
